BILDEV’s panel “The Shadow of the Millet: Islamic Political Theology and the Afterlives of Ottoman Pluralism” has been accepted for the BRAIS Symposium 2026: Islamic Studies Across Divides in an Era of Crisis and Global Injustice.

The symposium is co-hosted by the British Association for Islamic Studies (BRAIS) and Boğaziçi University, and will take place on 24–25 January 2026 at Boğaziçi University, South Campus, Istanbul.

Our panel will be held on Day 1, 24 January, at 1:45 PM. We welcome everyone interested in the field to join us.
