Global Bergsonism Conference
Interpreting Bergsonian Ideas through Philosophical, Cultural, and Literary Interconnections
The Global Bergsonism Conference brings together scholars working on the global reception and reinterpretation of Henri Bergson’s philosophical legacy. Held in collaboration with BILDEV – The Foundation for the Study of Science and Thought, the event is organized by M. Sait Özervarlı (Yıldız Technical University, Istanbul) and Caterina Zanfi (CNRS/ENS Paris), as part of the CNRS International Research Network “A Chapter in the Global History of Philosophy: New Perspectives on Bergsonism.”
Joint Symposium: Muhammad Iqbal, John Dewey, and the Call for Reconstruction
This event explores the philosophical intersections and divergences between Iqbal and Dewey’s theories, especially their approaches to the reconstruction of modern thought during the interwar period.

The second BILDEV Talk was held on January 10, 2021, at the Marmara Ilahiyat Cultural Center in Istanbul. The speaker, Hiroaki Kawanishi from Tübingen University, delivered a thought-provoking lecture titled “Transcendence Above Transcendence: Abdal-Ghani al-Nabulusi’s Reception of Muhammad b. Yusuf al-Sanusi’s Metaphysics.”
