This event explores the philosophical intersections and divergences between Iqbal and Dewey’s theories, especially their approaches to the reconstruction of modern thought during the interwar period.

The third BILDEV Talk featured Sajjad Rizvi from Exeter University, who delivered a lecture titled “Two Schools of Metaphysics in 18th Century India.”

The second BILDEV Talk was held on January 10, 2021, at the Marmara Ilahiyat Cultural Center in Istanbul. The speaker, Hiroaki Kawanishi from Tübingen University, delivered a thought-provoking lecture titled “Transcendence Above Transcendence: Abdal-Ghani al-Nabulusi’s Reception of Muhammad b. Yusuf al-Sanusi’s Metaphysics.”
